New deal :: November 24th, 2003 ::
For those of you still checking in every once in a while, sorry for the previous posting. It was more than slightly disingenuous of me to suggest that I was going to return to regular posting, and then wait more than a month before attempting to write something once again.
So here’s the (new) deal. I’m going to focus on school for the time being. With finals coming up in less than three weeks now, I think that’s an appropriate thing to do. Once those are done, I’ll have a month of relative calm, during which you might see some increased activity around here. Also, I think once the holidays pass, I’ll have distanced myself from the first semester experience that I’ll be able to talk about it in a more meaningful way. Right now I’m so focused on the massive amount of information I’m going to have to synthesize that I don’t really have any big-picture insight that’s worth sharing.
But don’t go thinking that I don’t like school all that much. In truth, I’m quite happy to be here, and have found the process of learning exhilarating. The past three months is the hardest thing I’ve ever put my brain through, and I think that’s so cool.
