How Very Fair of You
Hi. Yeah, I know I haven't really been around. I've been, well, sort of busy. You understand. I know you do. I can tell.
But seriously: Jessamyn was here again, and she left yesterday. That's what I've been doing. The last I heard from her, she was in Ohio, east of Cleveland, headed for the wondrous statewide suburban sprawl that is New Jersey. Since she's left, I've felt my life ease itself back into the lukewarm bath that is my usual routine. It's been good to get back into the habit of organizing my digital photography, optimizing images, posting them to the web, then adding these entries. But at the same time, I really miss the haphazard lifestyle of trying to do as much as possible within four days with this person who I think is totally amazing, while simultaneously trying to manage all the ordinary stuff in my life. Gah! Needless to say, my place is now a mess.
But the weekend! Yes, it was so much fun! Yes, we went minibowling (wow; see here), and yes, we went camping (quiet, dark, pretty), and yes, we went to the fair (creepy, fun, homogenized, and overall definitely worthwhile).
Next month: San Francisco.
But things I have to do now include resolving some Domain Name issues with NSI (yuck), adding some new stuff to this site (much needed), organizing the site to accomodate said new stuff (see previous parenthetical commentary), checking out a few new personal CMS things I've discovered (fun, interesting, though probably a bit impractical), and fixing that goddamn noisy mechanical antenna on my car, which has been such a source of annoyance, both for me and anyone who has ridden along with me in the past year (no comment).
Oh, and finally: some pictures are here.
