The Pages Within

I Usually Don't Forget. Really.

I completely forgot my dental appointment this morning. Unbelieveable.

They called me yesterday, made sure I knew to come in, and now I distinctly remember saying, "sure!" But then apparently I proceeded to put it way in the back of my mind, until I basically forgot about it. Something about the prospect of having getting a cavity filled made it all so, I don't know, easy to space off? But still, I think this is the first time ever that this has happened, where I just totally and absolutely erased any knowledge of something I had to do. I mean, you know that feeling, like you've forgotten something important, the clenching of your stomach or whatever? Well, I woke up this morning, got ready for work, got coffee, drove into the office, and I didn't even have the slightest twinge of that feeling.

Until they called. Crap. Luckily I was able to reschedule for this afternoon.

Oh, if you're looking for obscure books, here are two online resources that were recommended by a friend of mine over Mexican food the other night. The first one is like a network of small used bookstores, and the second is like a warehouse of overstocked books. If you try them, let me know what you think.

And finally: the years of 1999 and 2000 in personal statistics. Just because, you know, this kind of stuff is important.

No soundtrack today.
